What is it?

The Federation Assembly meets every five years, to determine the vision of the International Federation of L’Arche Communities, reflecting on the experience and concerns of the communities. 

500 people with and without disabilities from 37 countries will gather in Belfast, Northern Ireland for seven days in June 2017. This event will celebrate the intrinsic value and unique contributions of people with learning disabilities. It will also celebrate the gifts and accomplishments of L’Arche, and will refuel our large global community for the challenging and courageous task of working for justice and peace in a very divided world.

Day of activities in Downpatrick on June 25, 2017

How can you help?  

Teams of local volunteers in Belfast and Downpatrick are needed before and during the event.  

We need teams of volunteers to:

  • Prepare the conference material in early June
  • Welcome and direct the delegates when they arrive in Belfast on Tuesday, June 20
  • Help guide the delegates during the activities in Downpatrick on Sunday, June 25

We also need individuals to help with specific tasks before and during the event.
